Agri-TechE – Membership Manager

Job Description:

As our new Membership Manager, you will ensure member satisfaction and an excellent experience in all interactions with Agri-TechE – from joining to renewal and everything in between! You’ll ensure that our members have a tailored and relevant journey through their dealings with us – and our other members in the network. You will also be working as part of the team to deliver streamlined operations, as well as tactful and appropriate membership retention initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Member Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with our members by actively engaging with our diverse membership, providing advice and support by understanding specific needs and profiling new opportunities as they arise.
  • Membership Growth: Work with the wider team to expand our membership even further, both in the UK and internationally.
  • Retention Strategy: Ensure we maintain our consistently high member retention rate, delivering value to all members across the network.
  • Member Feedback: Collect, analyse, and act on member feedback and our extensive data set to ensure Agri-TechE’s membership offering remains relevant and fresh.
  • Providing a Warm Welcome: Assist in onboarding new members, identifying their needs and ensuring they quickly integrate into the Agri-TechE ecosystem.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: You’ll be working with our Director of Communities to encourage our members to be fully embedded across the network, and our Events Manager to maximise the benefit of our events and activities programme for our members. Working with our Events and Membership Administrator, you will also be part of the activities ensuring the renewal process is rapid and efficient and that records are all up to date.

What We Want to See From You:

  • Have a credible working knowledge of agri-tech, or the application of technology in agriculture or horticulture, as demonstrated by at least 3-5 years of experience.
  • Be able to demonstrate a track record in stakeholder engagement, community management, or a similar role delivering customer satisfaction. An awareness of the UK policy and / or funding landscape around agri-tech would also be an advantage.
  • Have exceptional interpersonal and communication skills (including giving talks) and a work ethic of delivering excellence.
  • Be proficient in using CRM software and data analysis tools.
  • Have an innovative and creative mindset to develop engaging member experiences and to spot opportunities for Agri-TechE and our ecosystem.
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
  • Have a passion for Agri-TechE’s company’s mission and a genuine desire to advance the state of the nation in agri-tech via our membership offering and catalysing partnerships and collaboration.

This role is offered on the basis of a 37.5 hours per week. We are looking to appoint at a salary iro £38,000 – £46,000 p.a. We offer a work-place pension or can contribute to your own personal pension if you prefer via salary sacrifice. You’ll receive 25 days holiday a year plus Bank Holidays and we also fully embrace remote and flexible working.
