ICT/DIGITAL TRAINING ACADEMY MANAGER – Techware Professional Services Ltd

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

· Training Academy Manager manages all operational activities of the Academy including staffing, facilities, and coordination with vendors and suppliers.

· Develop corporate training academy strategies and initiatives that reflect the organization’s goals.

· Prepares business plans that support the operation of the academy and adhere to budget.

· Collaborate with all relevant institutions/academy to provide additional or specialized training- Work with external providers to create specialist courses.

· Responsible for supervising trainers and instructors.

· Manages the academy staff in the day-to-day performance of their jobs.

· Oversees sales and business development functions for the academy for sustainable profits.

· Develop training plans, schedules, and materials from time to time.

· Write training reports and keep records up to date.

· Manage network downtime to allow for network updates and any infrastructure changes

· Oversee the academy’s website, ensuring the site continues to be operational and materials are updated.

· Manage marketing communications activities to ensure reasonable traffic to the academy.

· Manages the production of program marketing material in collaboration with the marketing team.

· Ensures that training materials and programs are current, accurate, and effective.

· Ensure profitability in all scheduled classes.

· Identifying, and monitor competitors and competitive activities from time to time.

· Develop and implement a strategic business plan that expands the academy’s customer base and ensures market fare share.

· Keep abreast of technological advances and advise on future adoption if necessary.

· To undertake such other duties and responsibilities of an equivalent nature, as defined by line manager from time-to-time, subject to the provision that normally any changes of a permanent nature shall be incorporated into the job description in specific terms.

· Perform any other task deemed reasonable by the management and board of the academy.

 

JOB REQUIREMENTS/QUALIFICATIONS:

 

· Bachelor’s degree in Business Management, Humanities subject, Human Resources Management, or relevant field.

· Proven experience as an IT Training academy/center Manager or similar role

· Training & Development certification is an added advantage.

· Proficiency in Learning Management Systems (LMS)

· Good knowledge with training related software

· Highly computer literate with proficiency in MS Office and related business and communication tools.

 

SKILLS NEEDED FOR THIS ROLE

 

· The IT Training Manager must have strong analytical skills to assess the level of experience of students and identify areas where training should be expanded. He/She needs analytical skills to determine how effective existing training programs are.

· Training academy organizational skills and partners’ ecosystem management skills. Organizational skills are important because the training manager needs to put together training materials in a logical order so that students can follow the information.

· Successful previous experience as an IT training manager, consistently meeting or exceeding targets

· Committed to continuous education through workshops, seminars/conferences

· Demonstrated ability to communicate, present, and influence credibly and effectively at all levels of the organization

· Strong business sense and industry expertise

· Excellent mentoring, coaching, and people management skills
