The Role

Are you a full-stack developer with experience in building scalable software solutions, and proficient in front and back-end programming? If yes, you are just what we are looking for.
The team at Straitpay is looking for a software developer to join the team and participate in the software development lifecycle from conception to deployment.
You should also be a team player with a flare for visual design and utility, and improving user experience.

What You’ll Do

Design client-side and server-side architecture.
Develop and manage well-functioning databases and applications.
Maintain and upgrade the software following deployment.
Modify and test changes to previously developed programs, steps taken to resolve them, and the specific dates/individuals involved.
Oversee the automated testing and provide feedback to management during the development process.
Write effective APIs.
Work alongside graphic designers for web design features.
Troubleshoot, debug, and upgrade software.

Requirements and Qualifications

A Degree in Computer Science, Statistics, or a relevant field is a plus!
3 years of proven experience in developing software applications.
Knowledge of multiple front-end languages and libraries (e.g. HTML/ CSS, JavaScript, XML, jQuery).
Familiarity with databases (e.g. MySQL, MongoDB) and UI/UX design.
Great attention to detail.
Problem-solving skills.
Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
Knowledge of GraphQL is a plus.
Knowledge of numerous back-end languages (e.g. C#, Java, Python, NodeJS) and JavaScript frameworks (e.g. Angular, React, Node.js).
An analytical mind.
