We are seeking a motivated Sales and Marketing Associate to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a critical role in driving sales growth and market presence for our product lines. This position requires a blend of sales and marketing expertise and strategic marketing skills to effectively support our customers and expand our market reach.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Sales Achievement:
• Achieve and surpass sales targets on a quarterly, half-yearly, and annual basis.
• Successfully create business opportunities for new and existing customers in the Public, NGO, and FBO sectors.
• Follow closely on tenders in Public, FBOs, and NGOs, ensuring participation by our distributors.
2. Customer Relationship Management:
• Build and maintain new relationships with clients and prospects.
• Retain current customers by visiting them regularly and resolving issues related to our devices.
• Work closely with the Customer Support team to assist customers across Kenya.
3. Marketing Activities:
• Organize marketing activities and product launches across the country.
• Ensure all leads from marketing activities are followed up and closed.
• Collaborate with professional bodies such as Pediatrics, Radiology, Obstetrics and Gynecology, and Midwives Society.
4. Market Intelligence:
• Share market intelligence with the Head of Sales and Marketing monthly, describing market trends and competitors.
• Make recommendations based on market intelligence to optimize sales strategies.
5. Product Knowledge:
• Deep understanding of maternal and neonatal products, particularly POCUS and CPAP devices.
6. Sales Analysis:
• Collect data and submit sales analysis to the Sales Manager every quarter.
• Work with the distributor to organize marketing activities and create more demand.
• Ensure customer satisfaction and support them whenever needed.
7. Lead Management:
• Regularly share all market leads with the distributor(s) and follow up to ensure the leads are closed.
• Create networks in government and faith-based central procurement to stay informed of all leads and follow up on tenders.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Healthcare Management, or a related field.
- Proven experience in sales and marketing, preferably in the medical devices or healthcare industry.
- Strong understanding of neonatal care, POCUS, and CPAP technologies.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
Experience:
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in a sales & marketing role within the medical device industry working with maternal & neonatal devices.
- Prior experience with POCUS a Plus
Skills and Competencies:
- Product Knowledge: A deep understanding of maternal & Neonatal devices, specifically POCUS and CPAP devices, including their functionalities, applications, and benefits in clinical settings.
- Sales & marketing knowledge: Proven ability to identify sales opportunities, negotiate contracts, and close deals effectively.
- Customer Relationship Management: Strong interpersonal skills to build and maintain relationships with healthcare professionals, key decision-makers, and stakeholders.
- Clinical Expertise: Knowledge of medical terminology, procedures, and patient care practices relevant to neonatal care and respiratory therapy.
- Market Analysis: Ability to conduct market research, analyze trends, and identify potential markets and customer needs.
- Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills for effective presentations, demonstrations, and training sessions.
- Strategic Thinking: Capability to develop and implement strategic marketing plans to promote products and achieve sales targets.
Location:
This position is based in Nairobi, Kenya, with occasional travel within the East African region required.
