Our journey began as Raildiary back in 2016 when Will Doyle, an aspiring Quantity Surveyor with Balfour Beatty, became exasperated with the lack of digital solutions to quickly and effectively capture consistent site data to support proactive commercial management of multi-million-pound infrastructure projects.
Will presented his innovative idea to Paul Clegg, whose expertise brought the Raildiary application to life for mobile and web platforms. Alongside Will, a passionate team focused on delivering a reporting solution made for site grew to become the market leader in UK rail for site data capture.
Raildiary’s benefits were clearly not confined to the rail industry with cross sector clients utilising the platform to deliver value across a wide range of infrastructure projects. To support these growing client requirements across multiple sectors and disciplines the Raildiary brand evolved into Gather in 2024.
