What We’re Looking For:
As an ARcore engineer at Pikd. you will be responsible for creating an immersive AR experience that guides users to their destinations with precision and ease. Your work will integrate Google ARCore geospatial data with AR visualizations, providing real-time navigation aids in an urban environment and detecting 3D objects. This role aims to replicate a functionality similar to the ‘Live View’ feature in Google Maps.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement AR navigation features on iOS using SWIFT and Objective-C.
- Integrate Google’s Geospatial API and ARCore to detect and display “Google Live View” within the app.
- Enable users to select their destination directly within the AR environment, overlaying map directions and AR cues to guide them.
- Ensure high performance and responsiveness of the AR navigation system.
- Maintain code quality, organization, and automatization.
- Work closely with our React Native engineer to integrate and deliver this feature.
Requirements:
- Proven experience in iOS development with a strong understanding of SWIFT and Objective-C.
- Experience with AR development, specifically with Google ARCore and ARKit.
- Familiarity with Google’s Geospatial API and experience integrating location-based services in mobile applications.
- Ability to work with high-level design specifications and convert them into high-quality executable code.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and creativity in implementing AR navigation solutions.
Great to Have:
- Experience in cross-platform development using React Native.
- Proficiency in creating custom modules for React Native applications.
- Hands-on experience with ARCore and ARKit, showcasing a deep understanding of augmented reality technologies.
- Practical knowledge of VisonOS and Composer Pro
Salary: NGN400,000 – NGN700,000 per month (depending on experience and technical know-how).
