Position Overview:

As a Technology Sales Representative, you will play a pivotal role in driving revenue growth by identifying, prospecting, and nurturing new business opportunities for LCT Africa products and services. This role requires a strong blend of technical expertise, communication skills, and sales acumen to effectively convey the value proposition of the company’s offerings to potential clients. You will collaborate closely with internal teams to ensure client needs are met and contribute to the overall success of the sales department.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Business Development:

  • Identify and research potential clients and industries that align with the company’s technology solutions.
  • Generate leads through various channels, including cold calling, email campaigns, networking events, and referrals.
  • Qualify leads by assessing their needs, budgets, and timelines.

2. Consultative Selling:

  • Understand clients’ business challenges and objectives to tailor technology solutions that address their specific needs.
  • Effectively communicate the technical features and benefits of products and services to clients, highlighting how they solve their problems and improve their operations.

3. Product Knowledge:

  • Maintain a deep understanding of the company’s technology offerings, staying up-to-date with the latest features, upgrades, and industry trends.
  • Articulate technical concepts in a clear and understandable manner to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

4. Relationship Building:

  • Build and nurture strong, long-lasting relationships with key decision-makers and influencers within client organizations.
  • Provide ongoing support and guidance to clients, ensuring their satisfaction and addressing any concerns.

5. Sales Process Management:

  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of client interactions, opportunities, and sales activities in the company’s CRM system.
  • Collaborate with internal teams, such as pre-sales engineers and technical support, to develop tailored solutions and address customer inquiries.

6. Quota Achievement:

  • Work towards achieving or exceeding assigned sales targets and quotas on a regular basis.
  • Develop and execute sales strategies to penetrate new markets and expand the company’s customer base.

7. Market Insights:

  • Monitor industry trends, competitors, and emerging technologies to provide valuable insights and recommendations for enhancing the company’s offerings.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Technology, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • Over ‘5 Years of technology sales experience.
  • Proven track record of success in technology sales or a related field.
  • Strong understanding of technology concepts, with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
  • Proficiency in using CRM software and other sales-related tools.
  • Self-motivated, results-driven, and able to work independently as well as collaboratively.
  • Ability to adapt to a fast-paced and dynamic sales environment.
  • Willingness to travel as needed for client meetings and industry events.
