Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Talent Acquisition Specialist to join our team at GCR. As a Talent Acquisition Specialist, you will play a crucial role in identifying, attracting, and recruiting top-tier talent to support our mission and initiatives. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 5 years of experience in talent acquisition, a strong understanding of the NGO sector, and a passion for making a positive impact in the world.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement effective talent acquisition strategies to attract a diverse pool of qualified candidates for various roles within the NGO.
  • Collaborate with hiring managers to understand their recruitment needs, job requirements, and team dynamics to create comprehensive job descriptions and candidate profiles.
  • Utilize various sourcing methods, including job boards, social media, professional networks, and referrals, to identify potential candidates.
  • Conduct thorough candidate screenings and assessments to evaluate their skills, experience, and alignment with the NGO’s values and mission.
  • Coordinate and conduct interviews, ensuring a positive and engaging candidate experience throughout the recruitment process.
  • Build and maintain a strong talent pipeline for current and future staffing needs.
  • Recommend and implement improvements to the recruitment process to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Work closely with the HR team to ensure a seamless onboarding process for new hires, assisting with paperwork and orientation as needed.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest trends and best practices in talent acquisition and incorporate them into the NGO’s recruitment strategies.
  • Provide regular reports and insights on recruitment metrics and progress to the management team.
  • Willing to work as an unpaid employee.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of proven experience as a Talent Acquisition Specialist or Recruiter, preferably in the NGO sector or a related industry.
  • In-depth knowledge of talent acquisition strategies, sourcing techniques, and candidate evaluation methods.
  • Demonstrated ability to identify and attract top talent for a wide range of positions, from entry-level to senior roles.
  • Strong understanding of diversity and inclusion principles and the ability to promote a diverse workforce.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships with candidates and hiring managers.
  • High level of professionalism, ethics, and discretion when dealing with confidential information.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple recruitment processes simultaneously.
  • Familiarity with applicant tracking systems (ATS) and HR software.
  • Passion for the NGO sector and a genuine commitment to the organization’s mission.

Preferred:

  • Master’s degree in Human Resources, Organizational Psychology, or a related field.
  • Experience working with international recruitment.
  • Familiarity with talent branding and employer branding strategies.
