Position Overview:

We are seeking a talented and experienced accountant to join our team as a Finance and Operations Officer. The ideal candidate will play a pivotal role in overseeing both financial operations and day-to-day business activities to ensure efficiency, accuracy, and profitability.

Responsibilities:

Financial Management:

  • Manage financial policies, procedures, and controls to ensure compliance & mitigate risk.
  • Prepare and analyze financial statements, budgets, and forecasts.
  • Calculate project cost estimates using an internally customized calculator.
  • Oversee accounts payable and accounts receivable processes, including invoicing, collections, and payments.
  • Conduct financial analysis to support strategic decision-making and identify areas for improvement.
  • Manage the company’s financial dashboard, review, and revision of key performance indicators (KPIs)
  • Review and update financial processes, manuals, and Standard Operating Procedures (SoPs) as per the company policy.

Operations Management:

  • Collaborate with teams to ensure smooth execution of business operations.
  • Oversee facilities management, vendor relationships and payments.
  • Implement best practices for resource allocation and utilization including the review of project costing.

Compliance and Reporting:

  • Prepare and submit tax filings.
  • Coordinate audits and liaise with external auditors.
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation in accordance with company policies.

Strategic Planning:

  • Contribute to the development and execution of strategic plans and initiatives through developing and providing quarterly reports to the company CEO.
  • Provide financial insights and analysis to support strategic decision-making.
  • Identify opportunities for cost reduction, revenue growth, and operational improvement.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or related field with at least a 2nd class lower degree.
  • Up to 2 years of experience monitoring finances and operations of a small and medium enterprise.
  • Understanding of financial principles, budgeting, and forecasting.
  • Excellent organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy and integrity.
  • Proficiency in utilizing financial management software like QuickBooks.
