Job Description:
1.Term: 12 months
2. Experience Requirement: 7+ years in Chargebacks and Disputes Management for Issuers and Acquirers
3. Job location: Nigeria
4. Project scope: Chargeback/Dispute management specialist for Issuing and Acquiring Bank
5. Language requirements: English fluency
Primary Role:
· Facilitate knowledge transfer of all the Chargeback/Dispute activities associated with Issuer and Acquirer related functions for Client Nigeria
· Offer Disputes and Chargebacks input for Client to design their Chargebacks processes
· Provide input to training material to be collated and produced by Client Learning and Development Teams
· Support with project management activities related to Chargeback/Dispute processes design
· Provide guidance on how to access and implement upcoming Mastercard Mandates
· Provide guidance on how to change manage new compliance releases.
Exclusion:
– Training material and Processes will need to be written and designed by Client process team or L&D Team.
– Target Operating Model Design for Chargebacks is not included and will be a separate project.
Secondary Role:
· Manage and monitor project schedules, risks and ensure timely resolution of any issues or deviations from project plans
· Coordinate and facilitate project meetings and project status reports with Mastercard and other stakeholders to ensure timely execution of activities
· Ensure project documentation is up-to-date, complete, and accessible to all stakeholders
· Communicate project progress and risks to stakeholders, including senior management
· Build and maintain relationships with project vendors and workstream owners, ensuring their work is aligned with project objectives and deliverables
· Ensure project deliverables meet the required quality standards, including conducting final quality reviews and sign-off from the client
Requirements, experience and skills
· Bachelor’s degree in a related field (e.g., business, technology)
· 7+ years of experience in Issuing and Acquiring Chargeback operations of a bank/fintech
· Extensive experience working on payment product/processes in SSA region
· Knowledge of both Mastercard and VISA chargeback activities
· Ability to train and create training materials for chargeback activities
· Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with stakeholders
· Strong problem-solving & analytical skills, with the ability to identify & manage project risks
· Experience managing schedules and resources, with a focus on delivering projects on time to the required quality standards.
