Architect – HTLAfrica

HTLAfrica is seeking an Architect for a full-time role, located in Lagos with flexibility. As an Architect at HTLAfrica, you will be responsible for designing, planning, and overseeing the construction of buildings and other structures. You will work collaboratively with clients, engineers, and other professionals to ensure that projects are completed on time, within budget, and to a high standard. Additionally, you will be responsible for ensuring compliance with building regulations, environmental laws, and safety codes.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Architecture or related field
  • Minimum of 5 -7 years of relevant experience
  • Proficient in AutoCAD, SketchUp, and other architecture software/tools. The use of 3D and rendering software is also required. The use of Rhino is also an added advantage.
  • Demonstrated experience in designing public buildings from conception to completion
  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and leadership skills
  • Professional Certification: ARCON, RIBA or AIA required.
  • Master’s in Architecture from a reputable university

Responsibilities

• Projects and design: Work with other architect(s) and the head of design, on design ideas and projects. This includes planning and designing of buildings along with a team of Architects, Brainstorming project ideas, completing design/ working drawings, model making and assisting in reviewing project proposals.

• Creative, highly innovative and should be able to express his/her design philosophy clearly. Must know the use of advanced techniques and modification/extension of theories, precepts, and practices.

• Responsible for working on design and working drawings assigned to him/ her/ the team.

• Coordinating finished plans, specifications, and bill of quantities, building approvals, material approvals and construction drawings. He/ she should also know all the paperwork and reports required by town planning authorities and should be able to produce drawings for the securing of building approvals.

• Working with other stakeholders to coordinate details of architectural projects. This includes building specifications, dimensions, assisting with project research and outlining project schedules and tasks.
