iContribute is a volunteer platform that connects students to local volunteer opportunities. Our mission is to foster community involvement amongst the youth through a centralized app. We have already onboarded some of Ottawa’s largest non profit organizations such as the Ottawa Food Bank and the Ottawa Salvation Army, and there are many more yet to come!
As part of a startup environment, you will be working very closely with multiple different aspects of the team such as project management, design, and marketing. Lastly, despite things going virtual, at iContribute we still strive to offer a place to relax and bond together by offering optional board game nights and team socials if you ever need to relax!

Minimum Qualifications
- Currently enrolled in a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related technical field.
- Experience in one or more areas of computer science, such as Introduction to Mobile Development , Fundamentals of Web Applications, Database Management Systems, Object Oriented Programming, or similar
- Experience with of Javascript, HTML, CSS, or other related front-end languages (Typescript is a plus)
- Experience with Node.js and/ or non relational database design
Preferred Qualifications
- Available to work part time for a minimum of 12 weeks outside of university term time and returning to a degree program after completion of the internship.
- Relevant side projects, portfolio, work experiences, or previous software internships
- Proficiency in React.js (knowledge of Redux and React-Native is a plus)
- Experience with GitHub, Google Cloud Platform or MongoDB
- Previous experience developing mobile applications (cross-platform experience is a plus)
- General interest in entrepreneurship
