Key Responsibilities:
• Program Leadership and Strategy
o Lead the design, planning, and implementation of all programs and projects within CS-SUNN, ensuring alignment with the project specific objectives and CS-SUNN’s strategic objectives.
o Drive program innovation, ensuring that CS-SUNN remains at the forefront of nutrition advocacy and policy.
o Develop and oversee strategic partnerships with NGOS, INGOS, CSO as well as government, civil society, donors, and other key stakeholders to enhance program reach and impact.
o Ensure that programs are integrated with research, policy, advocacy, and capacity-building components to promote sustainability.
• Program Planning and Management:
o Develop and manage program plans, including objectives, timelines, and resource allocation.
o Ensure that program activities align with project specific objectives as well as CS-SUNN’s strategic goals and objectives.
o Organizational development, strong capacity building and mentoring skills to help identified organizations become prospective grant recipients.
o Monitor program progress, adjusting as necessary to ensure successful outcomes.
o Ensuring compliance with donor requirements, organizational policies, and international standards in all program activities.
o Supervise program staff, providing mentorship, guidance, and performance management to enhance team productivity.
o Coordinate the development of key advocacy messages and strategic plans for program-related initiatives.
• Team Leadership:
o Lead and manage program teams, providing guidance, support, and motivation.
o Coordinate with staff to ensure effective implementation of program activities and tasks.
o Provide training and capacity-building support to program staff and partners.
o Promote a culture of continuous learning and improvement within the project team
o Conduct regular performance evaluations and provide feedback to team members.
• Stakeholder Engagement:
o Engage with government bodies, NGOs, community leaders, and other stakeholders to support program initiatives.
o Build and maintain strong relationships with partners and collaborators.
o Facilitate meetings, workshops, and events to promote program objectives and gather input
• Financial Management:
o Develop and manage program budgets, ensuring financial resources are used efficiently and effectively.
o Oversee financial reporting and ensure compliance with donor requirements and organizational policies.
o Monitor and control program expenditures, making necessary adjustments to stay within budget.
• Monitoring and Evaluation:
o Develop and implement monitoring and evaluation (M&E) frameworks to assess program performance and impact.
o Collect and analyze data to measure program outcomes and identify areas for improvement.
o Prepare and present reports on program progress, challenges, and results to senior management and stakeholders.
• Advocacy and Communication:
o Support advocacy efforts related to program goals and objectives, including policy and budgetary advocacy.
o Develop and disseminate program-related communication materials, including reports, briefs, and updates.
o Represent CS-SUNN at relevant meetings, conferences, and events.
• Risk Management:
o Identify and assess risks associated with program activities and develop strategies to mitigate them.
o Ensure that program implementation adheres to best practices and organizational standards.
• Qualifications and Experience:
Education:
Bachelor’s degree in social sciences, or a related field.
Master’s degree in public health, Nutrition, social sciences, or a related field is compulsory.
• Professional Certifications:
o Professional certification in project management (e.g., PMP, PRINCE2) is compulsory.
• Experience:
o Minimum of 8- 15 years of experience in program management, project coordination, preferably Nutrition specific in the NGO, INGO, Nutrition or Public health sector.
o Proven experience in managing donor-funded projects and understanding of donor compliance requirements.
o Experience working with government bodies, NGOs, and community stakeholders.
o Strong background in nutrition policies and best practices.

o Strong leadership and team management abilities.
o Proficiency in financial management and budgeting.

o Must have great Interpersonal Skills, people skills, strong emotional intelligence
o Proficiency in the use of digital, Microsoft PowerPoint for presentation, facilitation and presentation skills, MS Word, MS Excel.
o Grant seeking and development skills – Proposal writing skills, Ideation, concept development, investment case and proposal writing
o Knowledge Management and Documentation skills
o Ability to manage multiple priorities, and meet deadlines.
